Our expertise
TEC is a permanent joint venture partnership between two leading Dutch internationally operating engineering consultants Royal HaskoningDHV and Witteveen+Bos. The two parent companies are experts in their own right and in a much wider field in providing design and consultancy services to enhance society. The establishment of TEC in 1988 brought together their combined specific knowledge, expertise and experience in soft ground tunnelling, guaranteeing continuity for the successful delivery of every tunnel project.
The objective of the partnership is to combine the knowledge, expertise and experience of both parent companies in the field of underground infrastructure. A permanent partnership guarantees the continuity essential for maintaining wide-ranging and specialised knowledge required in the field of tunnel construction for roads and railways.
TEC specialists are connected to scientific institutes such as the Delft University of Technology and are participating in MSc courses and graduation boards.
TEC is founding member of the Centrum Ondergronds Bouwen (COB – Centre Underground Construction) a knowledge platform for Underground Construction established in 1995 initiated by the Dutch Public Works. TEC specialists are sharing / participating in various study / working groups and in various disciplines.
TEC is managed by a two headed Board of Directors, representing both companies and reporting to a Board in which the Parent Companies are participating. The Board is responsible for the management of TEC overall. Responsibility for day to day management of the organisation lies with the managing director, see below for contact details.
