Inauguration of first tunnel element Fehmarnbelt Link

Milestone

The tunnel element was completed in early May and is the first of a total of 89 tunnel sections. The inauguration is a great milestone in the realization of  what will be the world’s longest immersed tunnel. In a joint venture with Ramboll and Arup, TEC is proud to contribute to this ambitious project. Our joint venture (RAT) initially prepared an illustrative design and the technical requirements for the tender process. Following the award of the 4 main civil contracts the JV continued as client’s principal advisor with 

• Review of Basic and Detailed Designs prepared by the Contractors 
• Construction Quality and Site Supervision 
• Structural Health Monitoring Requirements, and 
• Commissioning Services.
