Contract Drecht Tunnel Renovation awarded

On Friday, 22 May 2026, the signing ceremony took place between Rijkswaterstaat and the DSH consortium (Dura Vermeer, Spie and Heijmans) for the award of the Drecht Tunnel renovation contract. The contract preparation was carried out by TEC in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat, as part of the PTZ project (Project Tunnel Renovations South Holland).

PTZ is a project executed using a portfolio-based approach, in which tunnels are jointly prepared, tendered, and delivered through two portfolios. The Drecht Tunnel is part of portfolio 2. TEC will remain involved during the engineering phase (15 months) and subsequently during the execution phase up to and including the commissioning of the Drecht Tunnel, as well as for the entire PTZ programme.

Rik Sonneveldt, project manager at Rijkswaterstaat: ‘We have now been working together with TEC for 3.5 years. We characterise the collaboration with TEC as expert, pleasant, and transparent.’
